Three young competitors from Penryn Gymnastics Centre impressed at this year's British Championships.

The talented trio, Mabel Florey, 14, Macie Worthington, 13, and Archie Barnes, 13, took part in the event at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

In the Women's Artistic Gymnastics junior category, Mabel Florey, competing for the first time at this level, had an excellent performance, earning high scores in all her events.

A key moment for her was her impressive beam routine that secured her a fine sixth place finish.

Also showing determination at the championships was Macie Worthington, who ranked 28th on vault and 31st on floor.

Archie Barnes, participating for the second time in the championships, showed strong improvement in his performance this year, achieving a personal best in his overall score, an improvement by around 3 marks from his previous record.

Archie's routines saw him finishing 21st on the high bar and 22nd on pommel horse.

A spokesperson from Penryn Gymnastics Centre said: "The whole Penryn team are so proud of all of you!"

The spokesperson also extended gratitude to the coaches and supporters both on site and back home, as well as to Dragonfly Leotards that sponsored the young gymnasts' journey to the championships.

The talented gymnasts continue to train for future events, carrying the pride of Penryn Gymnastics Centre with them.
